25 years HERZOG INTERTEC GmbH
For more than 25 years, Mahlstetten has been tinkering and developing with acumen, and the “HERZOG shaft” has long since become a technical term:
From the very start, HERZOG INTERTEC GmbH has stood for reliable, creative and customized engineering solutions.
“My father Ewald and I founded the company in 1996,” says Raphael Herzog, looking back in his role as managing director. “We had heads full of creative ideas, and that’s what distinguishes us in our daily work to this day,” he adds.
The range of services has been consistently expanded over the years.
At the beginning, classic construction work was the focus of our activities. The virtual simulation of components under load represented a first major step forward. The ability to continue optimizing and relaying on new technologies characterizes the company to this day – meanwhile, the production of prototypes and practical testing on our own test benches are also part of the core business.
In the meantime, HERZOG INTERTEC has succeeded in building up a valuable, broad customer base. “From ambitious start-up to the renowned global corporation – we work with pleasure and out of conviction for companies of different sizes and industries,” says Herzog.
In 2007, the innovation prize of the state of Baden-Württemberg followed and ensured an additional increase in recognition far beyond the borders of the state.
“What drives us is the will to combine the courage to combine new ways with established approaches. This enables us to create development solutions that are individually and convincingly tailored to the customer,” explains Raphael Herzog, one of the factors in the company’s success. This can also be measured in patents – numerous applications testify to the consistent “invention” of new possibilities – one of which, the partial bearing shaft from 2006, is one of the greatest achievements in company’s history – the typical design is now known in specialist circles as the “HERZOG shaft”.
“We are motivated by great and small successes and consciously think outside the box,” says Herzog, referring to the regular implementation of multi-year research projects in close cooperation with colleges and universities. This cooperation serves the consistent development of technical solutions for the future: A current example is the works on a hydrogen-based drives – HERZOG INTERTEC also contributes to the optimal use of current possibilities in terms of resource conservation.
“We started with two people and now we employ nine people with a wide range of expertise and a firm determination to make even the most demanding projects a success,” the Managing Director clarifies and adds, “because we develop with acumen!”
The focus and the conviction to continue to inspire his customers can be clearly noticeable.
