25 years of HERZOG INTERTEC GmbH
For more than 25 years, Mahlstetten has been tinkering and developing with acumen, and the “HERZOG wave” has long since become a technical term:
Right from the start, HERZOG INTERTEC GmbH has stood for reliable, creative and individual engineering solutions.
“My father Ewald and I founded the company in 1996,” says Raphael Herzog, looking back in his role as managing director. “We had heads full of creative ideas, and that’s what distinguishes us in our daily work to this day,” he adds.
The range of services has been consistently expanded over the years.
At the beginning, classic construction work was the focus of activities. The virtual simulation of components under load represented a first big step forward. The ability to continue to optimize and rely on new technologies characterizes the company to this day – in the meantime, the production of prototypes and practical testing on our own test benches are also part of the core business.
HERZOG INTERTEC has now succeeded in building up a valuable, diverse customer base. “From the ambitious start-up to the renowned global corporation – we like to work for companies of different sizes and industries out of conviction,” says Herzog.
In 2007, the innovation prize of the state of Baden-Württemberg followed and ensured an additional increase in awareness far beyond the borders of the state.
“What drives us is the will to combine the courage to break new ground with established approaches. This enables us to create development solutions that are individually and convincingly tailored to the customer,” Raphael Herzog explains one of the factors in the company’s success. This can also be measured in patents – numerous applications testify to the consistent “invention” of new possibilities – one of them, the partial bearing shaft from 2006, is one of the greatest achievements in the company’s history – the typical design is now known in specialist circles as the “HERZOG shaft”. designated.
“We get our motivation from big and small successes and consciously think outside the box,” says Herzog, referring to the regular implementation of multi-year research projects in close cooperation with colleges and universities. This cooperation serves the consistent development of technical solutions for the future: A current example is the work on hydrogen-based drives – HERZOG INTERTEC also contributes to the optimal use of today’s possibilities in terms of resource conservation.
“We started with two people and now we employ nine people with a wide range of expertise and a firm will to make even the most demanding projects a success,” the managing director clarifies and adds, “because we develop with ingenuity!”
The focus and the conviction to continue to inspire his customers can be clearly felt.
