Herzog is also supporting the Björn Steiger Foundation in 2019
We are happy to support the Björn-Steiger Foundation again this year with a donation.
In Germany, an average of 100,000 persons die from cardiac death every year. Many of these could survive if first aid had been administered within the first few minutes.
With this project, the Björn Steiger Foundation is committed to teaching resuscitation measures in secondary schools, because they are already in the seventh grade.
Students able to resuscitate an adult. In June 2014, the school committee of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education recommended resuscitation courses from the seventh grade
to be firmly integrated into the curriculum. However, implementation is lacking in many states. This is why this foundation carries out “Retten macht Schule” wherever financially possible.
